The overnight hours will consist of partly cloudy skies, with temperatures mostly into the low to mid-40s by early Wednesday morning. Keeping a coat briefly through mid-morning Wednesday is advisable.
It will be a dry start to Wednesday, with breaks of sunshine in the morning. Temperatures will top out around the upper 50s to near 60, with increasing clouds in the afternoon. It will stay dry during the daylight hours, but scattered periods of rain showers will arrive between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. from west to east.

Scattered rain will continue overnight Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Most of Long Island will be drying out from the rain before 10 a.m., with clouds slowly breaking through the afternoon and evening. Around 0.5" of rain on average is still likely, which is beneficial to Nassau and Suffolk counties. The region is still around 2" below average rain for the month. Temperatures on Thursday will get to around 60 again. It will also become breezy with some wind gusts around 15 to 25 mph.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, with high temperatures around 59. Lows near 42.
SATURDAY: A mix of sun and clouds. Slight chance for a few rain showers, but it is looking much drier as of Tuesday evening. Highs around 57. Lows near 42.
SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs around 58. Lows near 43.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs around 62. Lows near 48.
TUESDAY: A few showers early in the morning. Brighter and dry in the afternoon. Highs around 62. Lows near 50.
