High-tech basketballs, cameras and speakers should be on your list

It's day two of The Download's Hot for the Holidays and News 12's Andrew Ehinger has suggestions for the sports lover and the photographer.

Coming in at number seven is the 94Fifty Basketball, but it's not your ordinary ball. It is embedded with nine sensors that track the ball and then send data to a special app on your smartphone. The app, then, runs drills and tracks your shots like a virtual coach all to improve your game. The 94Fifty costs $295.

For the photography lover, or even just a beginner, Canon's new PowerShot N is something different from the company. Though it's a point-and-shoot, some of the typical buttons are eliminated. The zoom and shutter release are controlled from a ring on the front. It also has a flip-out touchscreen, as well as Wi-Fi for quick uploads. It runs $300.

At number five is the Braven 850 wireless speakers. They can fill a room with sound but also charge tablets and phones in a pinch with a USB port.

"You've got plenty of juice to rock out for a long time," says Tracy Smith, of Braven. "Charge up your audio devices; it's a really fun audio system."

The speakers will cost you $279.
