Hicksville High School, middle school and Lee Avenue Elementary went into lockout Friday morning due to a situation involving a person making a bomb threat at the local library.

Officials say the lockout was a precaution, and the threats were not directed at the schools.

Nassau police said the threat was found to be non-credible, and the scene was cleared around noon. The investigation is ongoing.

The district stated that the lockout was lifted and all staff and students are safe. Normal activities are continuing, and dismissal will take place as per schedule.
