Officials from Nassau Consumer Affairs have accused a chimney sweep company of cleaning out its customers? wallets as well.

Five vans were confiscated during a raid of Complete Chimney after Consumer Affairs discovered the company was operating without a license since November. Investigators say the company has also had numerous violations for questionable business practices. The company faces $75,000 in fines and possibly more legal action once the district attorney?s office gets involved.

Experts recommend homeowners call the Office of Consumer Affairs to check up on companies who do work for them.
