A Hempstead woman is suing Suffolk County Jail for $10 million after she says she was sexually assaulted while she was incarcerated.
Rochelle Ramos says physician?s assistant Gary Feinberg sexually molested her during a medical checkup in December. Ramos, who was behind bars for a parole violation, says Feinberg threatened her with a 23-hour lockdown if she did not cooperate.
Feinberg was charged with 16 counts of sexual abuse last month in connection with similar incidents reported by five other inmates. Ramos? lawyer says Feinberg has molested as many as 25 other women. Police say their investigation is continuing and they expect more charges to be filed. Feinberg denies all the accusations.
