Why get married at town hall, when you can tie the knot on the beach?

Hempstead Town officials have announced what they are calling "Destination Weddings" for residents.

Beginning on Saturday, couples can tie the knot on Saturdays between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Point Lookout Town Park, Lido Beach, or Hewlett Point Park.

Officials say it's a more scenic way to get married and have a ceremony when town hall is usually closed.
