Hempstead school board declares superintendent’s post vacant
The Hempstead school board has unanimously declared the superintendent's post vacant, according to Newsday.
Members reportedly claim Shimon Waronker never took the required oath of office two years ago.
Superintendent Waronker was put on paid leave after the board accused him of bid rigging and misconduct a year and a half ago.
