Monday's powerful summer storm made for a treacherous commute on some of Long Island's roadways.
Video sent to News 12 by viewers show cars struggling to make their way through flooding on New York Avenue in Huntington.
Heavy winds brought down several trees across the Island. PSEG crews were out fixing wires taken down by those fallen trees.
In Mineola, cars were stuck under the LIRR bridge — trapped by flooding.
Flooding in Valley Stream caused several cars to get stuck under the overpass on Central Avenue by the Southern State. Police had to close the road down for a time as the cars were still stuck even after the flood waters receded.
