Prosecutors presented evidence against a Glen Cove man accused of decapitating his neighbor at a pre-trial hearing Tuesday.
Evan Marshall is accused of stabbing and then decapitating 57-year-old Denise Fox. Marshall was arrested last August.
The police officer that first responded to the scene testified that Fox's body was found in buckets inside Marshall's home, while her head was discovered in the suspect's car trunk.
While Marshall's attorney did not directly respond to questions about the prosecution's evidence, he said to keep on the lookout for the defense's evidence.
Marshall is charged with first-degree murder. The next hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 7.
