A Hauppauge man accused in a series of public lewdness and forcible touching incidents is facing several charges.

According to investigators, the latest incident happened Saturday, when Franklin Portillo-Hernandez was seen touching himself in a car while trying to talk to a 39-year-old woman in the Islandia Shopping Center parking lot. He then drove away.

Detectives arrested him at his Farmingville home and linked him to two earlier incidents — one in May on Veterans Memorial Highway and another on Friday outside a home on Helen Marie Place.

He was charged with two counts of public lewdness and one count of forcible touching.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452.
