The holiday season arrives at the Montauk Lighthouse this weekend starting on Saturday with the annual Lighting of the Light.

The fun begins at around dusk, with free hot chocolate courtesy of Hamptons Coffee, and live, singalong holiday music from Sarah Conway and the Playful Souls before the main event - the spectacular lighting of New York’s oldest lighthouse.

This year's honoree is Montauk Harbor Legend, "Admiral" Ed Michels.

Admission to the event is free, and while donations are not mandatory, they are greatly appreciated.
