News 12 Kids Day took place at the Hampton Classic on Saturday.
Families were invited to come enjoy a beautiful day at the horse shows with lots of activities for the kids including face painting, a petting zoo, bracelet making and pony rides for young kids.
"We come every year and the kids love it," said North Haven's Lesley Yardley. "It's part of what my children grew up coming to!"
"This is so much better than a carnival," added Anne Destefanis, North Haven. "It's so much bigger and so much more contained and nice. It's quite the last hurrah of the season and what a nice hurrah."
The last day of the event is on Sunday featuring the Grand Prix, where some of the best horse riders from Long Island will compete for the top prize.
