Saturday snowflakes give way to a weekend warm-up across Brooklyn

Watch for slick and wet roads with a few scattered snow showers Saturday morning. Then it gets noticeably warmer for the rest of the weekend. This warmth does not last long, though.

Friday was a significant improvement in how it felt outside, with actual high temperatures nearing 40 degrees, and feels-like temperatures reaching the freezing mark for the first time all week. More improvements on the way this weekend after a few snow showers on Saturday morning.
While two separate storms will mostly miss the borough, a few fringe snow showers are possible between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. There will not be a blockbuster storm as the two storms will remain separate and not combine, or "phase" into a massive storm. One storm will stay to the north, another to the south. The area likely ends up in a "snow hole" where little or no snow falls Saturday morning. Expect some scattered coatings that could cause brief tricky travel conditions during the morning.
Otherwise, it is mostly cloudy and above freezing into Saturday afternoon, melting any minimal snow accumulation. Sunday will be the warmer and nicer of the two weekend days with lots of sunshine. Highs will likely rise into the low-40s. It would be the first time this in over a week with temperatures above average. Average high is 40 degrees. Another arctic blast is on the way midweek next week with similar conditions to the last few days likely next Wednesday and Thursday. Feels-like temperatures will likely be in the single digits and teens again.
