A Guilford man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for stabbing a woman in a Westport parking lot.
Ellis Tibere took a plea deal in March, pleading guilty to charges including attempted murder in the 2020 attack.
The case was delayed multiple times after Tibere was found not competent to stand trial.
Dozens filled the courtroom for Tuesday's sentencing, many wearing green for mental health awareness.
Tibere's sentence also includes 10 years of special parole.
The victim suffered lifelong injuries.
