Suffolk County police received a donation that is aimed at keeping officers on the front lines safe.

The Strategic Business Group partnered with local officials to provide more than 5,000 medical-grade masks to the Suffolk Police Benevolent Association.

Masks will also go to 27 other Long Island law enforcement organizations.

Officials say the size of the donation will help give a mask to every officer in Suffolk County.
