A Syosset resident says that her property is being invaded by groundhogs.
Johanna Cook says the animals are doing serious damage to her flowers and vegetable garden.
She says she has gone to great lengths to deter the groundhogs.
"I keep trying to plug up every hole that I see with bricks along my fence line, but they just keep coming," she says.
The Nassau County SPCA says groundhogs are not uncommon in the area.
Officials say trapping and relocating the animals is not an option because rabies is present in Nassau County.
