After a strong showing in the Winter Olympics in Italy, Emily Hughes went back to school in Great Neck Wednesday.
Hughes, who was an alternate in the Olympics, gave a solid performance in Turin and came in seventh place. The 17-year-old says she is surprised at all the attention she is getting and says just to be a part of the Olympics was amazing.
Now Hughes is back to balancing school and skating. She is starting to prepare for the SATs and the World Championship.
