Brentwood High School alumnus Hector LaSalle has been nominated to become the next chief judge of the state Court of Appeals.
LaSalle has been presiding judge of the appellate court's second division since 2021 and a judge since 2009.
If LaSalle is confirmed, he will join an appeals court that also has former Nassau District Attorney Madeline Singas
