New York State is advancing clean energy in schools.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $59 million in funding becoming available for the Clean Green Schools initiative.

The program aims to improve air quality, advance clean energy and reduce carbon emissions in K-12 public schools.

All school buildings are designated as "high needs" or located in disadvantaged community will be eligible to participate in the program.
