Police say a man is alive after being pulled from his burning Jeep in Ronkonkoma by two good Samaritans.
Flames were seen coming from the Jeep along Express Drive North near Terry Road in Ronkonkoma.
Police say just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, the driver of the Jeep swerved to avoid another car. He then plowed through a fence and hit a tree.
According to police, two people passing by stopped to help and ended up saving the man's life.
The 29-year-old driver was awake and talking to first responders when he was put into the ambulance.
Police say the man suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.
