Glen Cove man surprised with centennial celebration by Regency Assisted Living

Maxwell Goldpin said his secret to living a long life is to "be kind to everybody so everybody is kind to you."

Regency Assisted Living threw a centennial celebration full of surprises for one of its residents.
Maxwell Goldpin, of Glen Cove, turned 100 on Sunday.
Members of his family, his old company and his temple were there to celebrate. He was also surprised with a gift from the New York Jets and a visit from a tennis pro in honor of his victory at the Singles Senior Championship at age 85.
Goldpin said his secret to living a long life is to "be kind to everybody so everybody is kind to you."
Glen Cove Mayor Pam Panzenback presented him with the official pin of Glen Cove and a certificate.
