The middle and high school gym floors in Glen Cove that were found to have high levels of mercury have reopened.
The school superintendent says the auxiliary gym at Glen Cove High School reopened last week and the upper and lower gyms at Robert M. Finely Middle School reopened earlier this week.
As News 12 has reported, air quality testing found mercury levels in the high school’s auxiliary gym were nearly four times the state limit.
The superintendent says handheld air quality testing has been conducted in all three locations and have come back at zero.
