A father and daughter had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in the air sideways on a ride at Fun Zone in Farmingdale Monday.

The indoor ride became stuck around 2 p.m. and the cabin containing the father and daughter was suspended 5 feet in the air. Employees couldn?t get the door of the cabin open, General Manager Glen Taus said, so they called the fire department.

The pair was taken away from the scene in an ambulance as a precaution. Taus said the ride was reset and working properly after the rescue.
