I'm meteorologist Rich Hoffman. You're hyper local weather forecast. After the wet weekend, we had a dry morning with a lot of sunshine. Now, throughout the rest of our day, increasing clouds, it will become mostly cloudy and it is a bit breezy winds westerly at 10 to 15 MPH and it's mild. Temperatures are a few degrees above average and high temperatures today are in the fifties tonight, 34 degrees clouds evening. So heading out this evening, temperatures, mid forties and then by the time you wake up on your Tuesday morning, temperatures around 34 degrees. So it is turning colder over the next 24 hours, clouds are on the increase. We've had some breaks of sunshine this afternoon, but more clouds building through. There's a front through upstate New York, a little bit of rain and snow showers here as this approaches. Long Island clouds will move in right now. It comes through dry. There may be a quick Sprinkle tonight for the first part. Then after midnight, sky is clear and that colder weather comes in for tomorrow. So here's what we have through this evening. The evening rush hour is dry with the clouds. Here's our forecast for warm 47 degrees around five o'clock, 45 at 9 p.m. And then 39 by the time you go to two o'clock in the morning. So there's the colder weather into tomorrow morning, those west northwest winds to start off the day on Tuesday. So the evening rush hour once again will be dry, mostly cloudy skies here at five o'clock temperatures mid and upper forties towards 8 to 9 o'clock, a slight chance of a Sprinkle over the east end. Otherwise, the clouds are giving way to clearing skies and to start off the morning hours of your Tuesday, you'll start off with sunshine and temperatures in the thirties. Now, just like today. Sunshine in the morning, clouds coming in Tuesday afternoon, highs are colder, topping out to a high 45 degrees Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday and Thursday, highs only in the lower forties. Our next threat of rain now coming in towards Sunday, Sunday morning through the midday into the afternoon. Some wet weather with some gusty winds recapping. Today, highs are in the fifties, mostly cloudy skies. Breezy. It's mild. Then tonight turning colder lows are in the thirties. There's that extended forecast. We are watching the colder weather. Get ready for some indoor fun at the Long Island Children's Museum

on this road trip close to home now that it's officially winter and certainly feeling like it, you're probably looking for some indoor fun for the kids and this is perfect. Let's explore the Long Island Children's Museum all year long. The Children's Museum offers educational and interactive experiences for the kids, but they also have a lot of seasonal exhibits. So there's always something new and a big draw during the winter months is this sock skating rink, you just slip these little socks over your shoes and you're ready to go. So no skates required, it's super safe, super fun and you get to stay cozy warm inside. Kids can catch a show, go inside their 140 seat theater. Right now they're showing a christmas carol and the characters interact with the kids. Another favorite exhibit is the bubble experience. It's here year round and you can surround yourself in these giant bubbles. There are fun play spaces throughout the museum that are not only entertaining but educational. And if you're looking to get an early start on their career, they can get a little practice behind the news desk, worked for me, their climate courses, a two story exhibit. They'll love to explore. Plus a live animal exhibit filled with creepy crawly critters and that's just the start.
