As the holiday season approaches, on average there are about 1,000 individuals a month heading to the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center in Wyandanch.

Noelle Campbell, the executive director for the center, says she stresses this time of year.

“It's food all year round and so that is our greatest need right now. It's spaghetti, it's tuna fish, it's things that we need to help make ends meet for their families through the entire year,” said Campbell.

The center is set up with shelves of food, a freezer and a clothing room that is open a couple days a week and available to anyone who needs it.
