A Patchogue man accused in a violent sex assault case was indicted Wednesday by a grand jury.

Gary Grigg, 25, pleaded not guilty to performing a first-degree criminal sex act and second-degree robbery.

He allegedly sodomized and brutally beat a 24-year-old woman as she walked to a friend's house back in June.

Prosecutors say Grigg also stole $26 from the victim.
