A Garden City High School student was among the three people killed in a house fire Thursday.
Hundreds of students, parents and administrators gathered outside the high school Thursday night for a vigil to honor their friend and loved one.
Those who knew the teen are trying to come to grips with the devastating news.
"She was just an amazing young lady," says Jim Revel. "She was perfect."
Revel says the teen was a hostess at his restaurant Revel in Garden City. He says when he heard the news he just broke down.
According to Revel, the teen had been working at the restaurant for about a year.
"An amazing young girl. Passion for life," says Revel. "Big smile when she walked in the doors here at Revel. The room lit up. Always positive with a lot of energy -- kind, considerate, respectful, loving and caring."
Revel says he will never forget her.
News 12 is told the teen was the youngest of four.
Neighbor Kathy Ford says the family was very genuine and caring.
"She was in high school. She was a budding singer," says Ford. "She would take in her into Broadway shows all the time."
Ford says the neighborhood is very close and what happened is just horrible.
