A gang leader from Brooklyn was sentenced to prison for plaguing Upper Manhattan with gun violence and drug trafficking, according to federal prosecutors.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 29-year-old Hugo Rodriguez served as the head of the “Own Every Dollar” gang based in Washington Heights.

Prosecution in the case involved the convictions of 22 members for five murders, over 10 attempted murders, multiple robberies and an extensive drug operation.

Officials say Rodriguez will spend 15 years behind bars, though he has already served several years in prison for other crimes.
