Future Wegmans of Lake Grove holds hiring event Thursday
The Lake Grove team is currently accepting online applications for a variety of entry level management and full-time openings across every department, including culinary positions, as well as roles in the seafood, produce, meat and bakery departments.

With the opening of Long Island's first Wegmans slated to open in Lake Grove in early 2025, a hiring event for people to apply and interview was held on Middle Country Road on Thursday.
Wegmans is looking to hire over 500 employees, from entry level to management, across all departments, including culinary positions.
Vincent Proscia, an applicant from Ronkonkoma, said, “I’m a foodie like crazy. I love food trucks. I love burgers. I love coming up with new ideas."
Dawn Cooper, store manager of Wegmans Lake Grove, said, “We were ranked number three best companies to work for in Fortune 100 companies. It’s really important to us. We’ve been on it for 26 years now, and the part that's really important is that our employees voted us to be there."
Stephen McNally, an applicant from Smithtown, said, “It’s close by, and I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, about the store, and a lot of different varieties."
Anthony Richer, an applicant from Brentwood, said, “It’s new, it's fresh to Long Island, and it's going to be a great experience to start on the ground floor."
