A funeral was held for the mother and daughter who were killed inside their Hempstead home last weekend.

Mourners gathered at Jackson Memorial Zion Methodist Church this morning to say a final goodbye to Melissa and Lynn Vanderhall.

The women were buried at Greenfield Cemetery.

Police say Bobby Vanderhall used a knife and hammer last weekend to murder his mother and sister.

The women's friend, 29-year-old Janel Simpson, was also killed in the attack.
