A group off longtime friends met for their annual charity Turkey Bowl football game at Frasier Park in Greenlawn on Thanksgiving Day.
"It's just so much fun to come down and throw the ball around with my friends and have the good games, get competition going," says John Gadamowitz. "Then we go home and watch football."
The tradition is in its 10th year, the participants say.
The players collect clothing items at the game to donate to charity.
Last year they donated more than 490 pairs of sneakers -- this year, more than 100 used coats.
They say they choose a new charity each year.
This year's charity was Helping Hands Mission in Huntington.
