An accused killer from Roosevelt was arraigned on murder charges Friday in Hempstead.
Police say 21-year-old Autrey Smith shot and killed Lyreek Crawley in Freeport early Sunday morning at a house party.
Smith surrendered to police at around 3 p.m. on New Year's Day.
The 21-year-old is due back in court on Tuesday.
