Fourth violent incident this week strikes Yonkers with teen stabbed on Bee-Line bus

Police say the stabbing happened around 5:10 p.m. onboard the bus as it traveled on Elm Street in the Nodine Hill neighborhood.

A stabbing erupted on a Bee-Line bus in Yonkers Wednesday, marking the city's fourth violent incident this week.

Westchester County police say the attack happened around 5 p.m. on Elm Street and was captured on surveillance video.

Police say a teenager was stabbed in the chest and is now in stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx., while the attacker escaped through the back door. The cause of Wednesday's bus attack remains unclear. Westchester County police are investigatiing the incidident since the crime took place on a county bus.

This follows Monday's incident, when a man was arrested for assault and weapons charges after shooting another man in the arm following an argument that started on another Bee-Line bus and continued off-board.

The week's violence began Sunday night with a man shot in the leg on Glenwood Avenue. On Tuesday, two people were shot in broad daylight on Walnut Street and remain in stable condition at the hospital.
