A fourth Democrat in the Nassau County Legislature has endorsed Attorney General Eliot Spitzer for governor.
Kevan Abrahams (D-Hempstead) joins legislators Lisanne Altmann (D-Great Neck), Roger Corbin (D-Westbury) and Craig Johnson (D-Port Washington) in throwing support to Spitzer instead of Nassau Executive and gubernatorial hopeful Tom Suozzi. Spitzer won the Democratic Party nomination last month, but Suozzi has vowed to stay in the race until the end.
Abrahams says he has nothing against Suozzi and supported his run for county executive last year. However, he says Suozzi has done a great job in Nassau and his services are still needed in the county.
