A number of young Bronx residents received lessons from a former National Football League player at the Roman's Soldiers Showcase.
The kids took to the gridiron at Saint Michael's Academy for hands-on lessons from former offensive lineman Roman Oben, a 12-year NFL veteran and Super Bowl champion.
This marks the first year the low-cost clinic is being held in the Bronx. Oben says he choose the borough because we wanted to give back to the community and give Bronx youth a chance to learn the fundamentals of football.
At the event, youngsters and high school students had the chance to showcase their skills and possibly even be noticed by those in the industry.
Oben says this clinic is one of many showcases he will be holding for local kids and high schoolers.
