A retired Bay Shore teacher accused of sexually abusing students is due back in court Tuesday.

Thomas Bernagozzi is facing two felony charges after two of his former students say he abused them in the 1980s and 1990s.

The victims were 4 years old and 8 years old at the time of the alleged abuse, according to court documents.

News 12 is told the youngest victim was assaulted once and the eldest was assaulted until he was 10 years old.

Bernagozzi is currently free without bail and has been ordered to wear a GPS monitor. He and the Bay Shore School District also face 45 civil lawsuits from former students.

Authorities urge any other victims to call Suffolk County Police's Special Victims Unit at 631-275-2302.

The case has been adjourned.
