And things are a little bit improved out there. We do have, uh, that steady rain finally becoming a little bit more scattered, a little bit lighter shower activity as we close off the day and move into the darker parts of the evening. So four or five o'clock, not as much activity out there, but there is still some mist. There's definitely a pretty steady east breeze all the way through midnight. So don't be surprised if there's like spritzes and drizzle until about midnight or so. Then the wind shifts west. It pushes all of that gross weather out for the Monday morning commute. You are dry, you're sunny and temperatures are in the forties. It's sunny until lunch on Monday and then we get into clouds again, but no rain this time, we still have that west wind. So it's a little too dry for rain. Temperatures are around the low fifties, which is pretty good. But then we start to get a north wind and by Tuesday we are in the thirties in the morning. That's about right for this time of the year, we're gonna continue to drop. Those temperatures are going to be a lot cooler by Wednesday and Thursday, Tuesday afternoon. We're only in the low to mid forties and we have some clouds. I think that's gonna be kind of the pattern for the whole work week. It looks like that. We have sunshine in the morning clouds in the afternoon, but there is no rain in the forecast after today. So we have still a pretty decent chance of passing a shower or two in the evening because a much lighter shower at this point, there's no heavy rain in the forecast for the rest of today and we're done with the rain for the whole entire work week. Let's talk about the work week. We're expecting 45 for a high on Tuesday, 42 Wednesday and even colder Thursday, 41. Now, if you remember last week, we were in the thirties for highs some days. So this is an improvement for sure, but it is still gonna be chilly. You'll still need the heavy winter jacket, especially in the morning. We move into the next weekend and then comes the fifties. We are not done yet with some of that milder weather.

Food Truck Friday: Chiddy’s Cheese Steaks  

You know, it's never officially a Friday until we get out to the food trucks and taste some food for food truck Friday. Today it is Chitty Cheesesteaks and it's Mike Chi from Chi's Cheesesteaks to talk about everything that you can find if you want to come to this food truck. First of all. Good morning, Mike. Good morning. Thanks for having all of this wonderful food ready. Let's just take a look. Let's just tell people first what they can get when they, when they come to your food truck. Sure. We like to say good mood food for the whole family. We're not just cheese steak. You'll see our cheese steaks later for sure. But we do gourmet hot dogs. We do gourmet fries. We do a whole line of homemade empanadas and more salads and we offer gluten free and vegetarian options. So really, like I said, we like to think of it as good mood food for the whole family. I love that good mood food because it puts everyone in a good mood and it, when I bring it inside a little bit later, why did you start this food truck up? What was behind it. So it was kind of a lifelong passion for cheesesteaks and a nickname that I couldn't get away with was Chitty. So it sounded pretty good together Chitty Cheesesteaks. So we started about 10 years ago with this food truck and the demand was so great that we put a second food truck on the road. A couple of years later. And then we went into a brick and mortar. I joined forces with two of my friends who are now my business partners, Darren Ben and Evan Deitch and we launched our brick and mortar operation. We have locations in Farmingdale, Comac, West Islip. Soon to be Astoria and our newest location in Citi Field, big time. And I want to show all these awards. I mean, fellow best of Long Island winner over here. You know, I got a couple of those. But yeah, I love here that best of Long Island and it's because of so many of these great foods. We haven't even got into the cheesesteaks. We're going to be making that on the grill a little bit later. But again, out of these things right here, Long Island is watching right now. What should I put in my mouth and taste to try to get the sense of what's chi. So along with the cheese steak, you either have to get the side of one of our homemade empanadas or our fresh cut fries. Those are our two most popular side options. That go along with the cheese steaks. All my favorite food in the world, fruit loops, pickles and fries. So I'm going in for the fries. Here we go. Let's do it. So it's fries with, what is this? This is cheese and bacon fries? Shitty. You're a man after my own heart. Yeah, that's one of our top sellers right there. You got to come out and check out Chitty Cheesesteaks. The truck is in Basehore. We're going to talk to Mike Chitty a little bit later this morning and we're going to make some cheese steaks ourselves on the grill. But food trucks Friday and you go.
