Flushing salon owner Julien Farel caters to U.S. Open stars looking for a haircut

For seven years, Queens salon owner Julien Farel has styled the stars.

Farel, whose salon is located in Flushing near the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, has a special contract with the U.S. Open and caters to some of the game's biggest talents. He has styled the likes of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka.

He says he usually sees around 50 people each day.

"It's a great treat ... it's an honor," says Farel.

The owner says many of his customers don't ask for full treatment, only a trim ahead of their matches.

Farel says every player who visits the salon signs a giant tennis ball that is later donated to charity.
