A new supermarket is opening in Nassau County on Friday.
The first 'Pathmark Daily' in the country will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting in East Meadow.
The small format grocer will be located at 625 Merrick Ave., in place of the former Foodtown.
Allegiance Retail Services, its parent company, says the store was “developed to meet the expectations of today's busy shopper.”
Adding that Pathmark Daily was created to “make life easier, delivering convenience, quality and the strong value and savings customers have come to expect from Pathmark.”
The stores will feature the Best Yet store brands, weekly sales items, in-store specials, and Pathmark's loyalty savings program.
The original parent company of Pathmark, A&P, filed for bankruptcy in 2015, shuttering every store on Long Island.
