The first same-sex couple tied the knot in New Jersey early this morning.
At the stroke of midnight, the first couple was married in Lambertville in Hunterdon County.
Today is the first day it is legal for same-sex couples to marry in New Jersey.
New York legalized same-sex marriage in the summer of 2011.
Last week, the New Jersey Supreme Court rejected Gov. Chris Christie's request to delay the law until the court rules that voters should decide same-sex marriage.
