A house was struck by lightning in Nassau County Thursday evening.
The Hicksville Fire Department responded to the home on Mayflower Drive around 6:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews began investigating a smoke haze in the basement of the structure.
Firefighters subsequently determined the incident was caused by a lightning strike, fire officials say.
There were no reported injuries.
