A 4-alarm fire blazed through a mansion on Northern Boulevard in Muttontown Tuesday morning, the Nassau County fire commissioner confirms.
The East Norwich Fire Department along with 11 other departments were on scene assisting.
The Nassau fire marshal says an electric fire ignited in the attic.
Fire officials say more than 50 percent of the home suffered serious damage.
