A popular East End waterfront restaurant is now closed just days before Memorial Day weekend after a fire damaged the property.

Dockers Waterside, located on Dune Road in East Quogue, had only recently reopened for its 2026 season less than a month ago, welcoming customers back for another summer of waterfront dining, drinks and live entertainment.

According to fire officials, crews were called to the restaurant shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters had the fire under control about 30 minutes later. East Quogue Fire Department responded alongside five mutual aid departments.

Dockers has been a summer destination since opening in 1989 and is known for its waterfront views and live entertainment.

There have been no reports of injuries so far. At this point, there is no word yet on what caused the fire or when the restaurant expects to reopen as crews continue to assess the damage.
