Officials say a fire broke out inside a Stony Brook University dormitory on Thursday night.
According to fire officials, the fire started around 8:45 p.m. in the Douglas College Dorm building on campus.
News 12 has been told the fire was contained to one room and was put out before anyone was hurt.
No students were hurt during the incident.
