Fans will find out Monday night if rising star Jesse Findling will continue singing on "American Idol."

The Massapequa Park native is currently in the Top 20 finalists. He auditioned for "American Idol" after a producer discovered him on social media.

"I have been watching this show for so long before actually being on it and seeing what goes on behind the scenes has been awesome and I've had such an amazing journey so far," Findling told News 12.

He said if he progresses, he plans to sing "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts in the next round.

Findling visited his alma mater, Massapequa High School, two weeks ago for a special performance for students that included a Q&A.

He had some encouraging words for Long Islanders trying to fulfill their dreams.

"What I'm doing now is something I never thought was possible. So, I would say if you love doing something just put yourself out there," he said.
