With three days to go until Super Tuesday, supporters for the presidential candidates hit the campaign trail hard on Long Island.
More than a dozen labor unions joined forces in Commack Saturday to rally for Sen. Hillary Clinton?s bid for the White House. Surrounded by several congressmen, leaders and union members gathered at the CSEA hall hoping to garner support for Clinton. Union members say Clinton has never let them down and is on the side of the middle class working families.
In Westbury, Republicans took to the phones to encourage support for John McCain. Former New York Sen. Alfonse D'Amato rallied the team, saying McCain is the only candidate qualified to become commander in chief.
Barack Obama's local campaign chairman Leg. Jon Cooper says there are more than a dozen rallies scheduled over the weekend and hopes Obama's message of hope will continue to spread and put him ahead in the primary.
