After an executive veto, round-the-clock meetings and countless hours of negotiations, Nassau legislators finally have a budget for 2016. 
During a six-hour meeting Monday, lawmakers agreed on a plan to close an $80 million gap.
The plan includes a steep hike in administrative fees, which will result in a 50 percent increase in the cost of traffic tickets as the county looks to raise $48 million.
Fire commission fees for businesses will also go up, along with the cost of property line map requests and mortgage transfer taxes.
Lawmakers say they approved the hikes in order to avoid cutting youth programs, NICE bus service and aid to villages and volunteer fire departments.
The agreement eliminates the proposed 1.2 percent tax hike proposed by County Executive Ed Mangano initially.
