? John Gotti Jr., son of the late leader of the Gambino crime family, was arrested once again Tuesday on racketeering, murder and drug charges.
Federal authorities in Florida say they have linked Gotti to three New York murders that took place in the 80s and early 90s. Gotti was arrested at his home in Oyster Bay Cove and taken to the FBI?s Melville office.
The scenario is all too familiar to Gotti. He was tried three times in 2005 and 2006 on racketeering charges, but all three trials ended in hung juries and mistrials.
Gotti pleaded guilty in 1999 to racketeering crimes and was sentenced to 77 months in prison.
Federal authorities announced the indictment of Gotti, along with five other men, at a news conference Tuesday. Investigators say the indictments stem from the Gambino crime family?s operations reaching out to Tampa, Florida.
Gotti's attorneys want to keep him in New York instead of being transferred to Tampa, Fla. A decision on whether he will be moved will be made in the next few days.
If convicted, Gotti Jr. faces life behind bars. He is being held without bond in a New York City jail. Prosecutors say he's a flight risk and a threat to the community.
