News 12 Long Island has learned that five Long Islanders have been charged in a mob takedown.
Federal officials say the men were involved in an illegal gambling operation run by the Genovese crime family.
In addition to the five Long Islanders, 13 other people were arrested in yesterday's bust.
All are accused of extortion, racketeering and attempted murder.
The five Long Islanders each face up to five years in prison if convicted.
