FDA updates label of diabetes drug Ozempic to acknowledge reports of intestinal blockage in some

The Food And Drug Administration has just updated the label of the popular diabetes drug Ozempic.
The label now includes recent reports of blocked intestines in some people using the drug.
Ozempic, and its sister drug Wegovy, used for weight loss, have recently sky rocketed in popularity.
The two drugs mimic a hormone the body naturally makes to slow the digestion of food, helping people feel fuller for longer.
The label for Wegovy already acknowledged reports of intestinal blockage for some.
